- Duration: 4 Days

Conquer Turkey’s highest peak in a focused 4-day ascent designed for determined adventurers. This program is ideal for climbers who are physically prepared and looking for a well-organized, efficient Ararat summit experience with professional local guides.
You will be welcomed at either Van Airport or Ağrı Airport, depending on your preference. After meeting your certified mountain guide, we transfer by vehicle to Çevirme Village (2,200 m), the starting point of our trek.
From the village, we begin our ascent to Base Camp at 3,200 meters. Your main equipment will be transported by pack animals, allowing you to hike comfortably.
Trek duration: approximately 3–4 hours
Elevation gain: around 1,000 meters
Upon arrival at camp, warm drinks and a freshly prepared hot meal await you. After dinner, we rest and prepare for the next stage of the climb.
Overnight at Base Camp.
After breakfast, we begin our steady climb to Camp 2 at 4,200 meters. The trail becomes steeper as we gain altitude, and the landscape transforms into a dramatic high-mountain environment.
Again, your heavier equipment is transported by pack animals.
Trek duration: approximately 5–6 hours
Elevation gain: around 1,000 meters
Once at High Camp, we settle into our tents and enjoy a hot meal. Because summit day begins very early, we go to sleep in the late afternoon to prepare for a night ascent.
Overnight at Camp 2.
We wake up around 1:00–2:00 a.m. and begin our summit push under the stars. With headlamps guiding the way, we steadily ascend toward the highest point of Mount Ararat.
After approximately 5–7 hours of climbing, we reach the summit at 5,165 meters, where breathtaking views stretch across eastern Turkey, Iran, and Armenia.
After celebrating and taking photos, we descend back to Camp 2 for a short rest and meal. We then continue our descent to Doğubayazıt.
Overnight stay in a comfortable hotel.
After breakfast at the hotel, we transfer you to Van or Ağrı Airport according to your departure schedule.
Your 4-day Mount Ararat summit adventure concludes with unforgettable memories.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Mount Ararat a technical climb?
Mount Ararat is considered a non-technical high-altitude climb during the normal climbing season. No advanced mountaineering techniques such as rope climbing or ice wall ascent are required under standard summer conditions.
However, it is a physically demanding expedition due to altitude (5,165 meters) and long ascent days. Basic use of trekking poles and crampons may be necessary depending on snow conditions near the summit.
Do I need previous climbing experience?
Previous high-altitude trekking experience is recommended but not mandatory.
If you are in good physical condition and comfortable hiking 5–7 hours per day on steep terrain, you can successfully complete the Mount Ararat climb with our professional guides.
We recommend regular cardio training and hiking preparation before the expedition.
When is the best time to climb Mount Ararat?
The best time to climb Mount Ararat is during the stable weather months of the climbing season, typically from late spring to early autumn.
During this period, snow conditions are more predictable, and summit success rates are significantly higher. Weather on Mount Ararat can still change rapidly, so flexibility is always important.
Is a climbing permit required?
Yes, a Mount Ararat climbing permit is mandatory for all foreign and domestic climbers.
The permit is issued by Turkish authorities and must be arranged in advance. Our team handles the entire permit application process on your behalf as part of the expedition organization.
