The 6-Day Mount Ararat Trekking Program is designed for climbers who prefer a more gradual ascent and improved acclimatization. Compared to shorter itineraries, this program allows extra time for adjustment to altitude, increasing summit success and comfort.
This expedition combines professional logistics, licensed local mountain guides, and a structured acclimatization plan for a safe and rewarding climb.
Upon arrival at Van Airport or Ağrı Airport, you will be welcomed by our professional mountain guide and transferred to Doğubayazıt.
After hotel check-in, we conduct:

Overnight stay at a hotel in Doğubayazıt.
After breakfast, we drive by minibus to Çevirme Village (2,200m).
From there, we begin our trek to Base Camp (3,200m) at Yeşil Yayla.
All heavy equipment will be transported by pack animals.
Hiking duration: 3–4 hours
Elevation gain: approx. 1,000m

Camp orientation
Overnight at Camp 1 (3,200m).
After breakfast, we begin our ascent to Camp 2 (4,200m).
Equipment is again transported by pack animals. The climb typically takes 5–6 hours with a steady and controlled pace.

At Camp 2:
Hot meal
Rest and hydration
Early sleep preparation (summit push starts around 1–2 a.m.)
Overnight at Camp 2 (4,200m).
We begin our summit attempt very early in the morning (around 1–2 a.m.).
The ascent takes approximately 5–7 hours depending on conditions.
Reaching the summit of Mount Ararat (5,165m) offers unforgettable panoramic views above Eastern Turkey.
After enjoying time at the summit:
We descend back to Camp 2
Rest and meal break
Continue descent to Camp 1 (3,200m)
Overnight at Camp 1.
After breakfast at Camp 1, we pack our equipment and descend to Çevirme Village.
From there, we transfer back to Doğubayazıt.
Hiking duration: 3–4 hours
Final equipment collection
Overnight stay at hotel in Doğubayazıt.
After breakfast at the hotel, we transfer you to Van or Ağrı Airport according to your departure time.

During this period, snow conditions are more predictable, and summit success rates are significantly higher. Weather on Mount Ararat can still change rapidly, so flexibility is always important.
Is a climbing permit required?
Yes, a Mount Ararat climbing permit is mandatory for all foreign and domestic climbers.
